Sarah Lauer Nakawatase

About the Author

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University and her RN license from HGTC.  She’s had several jobs over the years, beginning with feeding calves on a dairy farm in the seventh grade, but she has just recently found her forever career in nursing.

For the past two decades, she’s spent most of her time momming it up with her three kids, and they’re still her favorite people! Family hikes, beach days, art projects, little league games, and big family dinners have kept her smiling since 2003. Her spice rack occupies twelve square feet, and she and her husband use their culinary skills to lure their college students home whenever possible.

In 2019, Red Sage published her first novel, Southern Souls, a paranormal romance set on a haunted plantation. In 2023, Black Rose Writing released Dormant Diversion, a contemporary science fiction novel. Double Crossing the Border will be her third traditionally published novel, with a release date TBA.

Sarah also provides her local community with a yearly creative writing scholarship—details available at sarahlauernakawataseauthor.com.
